Because Art Should be Play and Not Work

Crazed with tiny patterns

I've had so much fun with the Creatures class and have made several more pages in my large art journal. Here is the first one--I combined Creatures with the prompt orange and fish from the Mix it Monthly challenge

The second spread was inspired by a postcard i picked up at an art event this week. The possum on the left is a painting by Joel Sager. I thought the possum needed a mate and of course a slew of little babies. i also liked the idea of putting the possums in a beautiful garden with a Chinese influence using bits of Joss papers and lots of metallics.

Next week I am off to Oregon to visit my son and family leaving George home alone!

I didn't realize you had posted again, so I'm late in commenting. The colors and tiny tiny designs are not only gorgeous but unique. There is an artist I think you'd love if you want to check her out. The best way is to look her up on Pinterest because different people have selected a good variety/selection of her work. I can't figure out how she does it, but it is beautiful! Tiny designs and amazing mixes of colors. The "Kevin" photo of your husband is cute.

I forgot to give you the artist's name. It is Huguette Caland.
