Crazed with tiny patterns

I've had so much fun with the Creatures class and have made several more pages in my large art journal. Here is the first one--I combined Creatures with the prompt orange and fish from the Mix it Monthly challenge

The second spread was inspired by a postcard i picked up at an art event this week. The possum on the left is a painting by Joel Sager. I thought the possum needed a mate and of course a slew of little babies. i also liked the idea of putting the possums in a beautiful garden with a Chinese influence using bits of Joss papers and lots of metallics.

Next week I am off to Oregon to visit my son and family leaving George home alone!

Four Months have Come and Gone

Trying to revive the blogging habit is difficult--but once again I am back to give it another go. First of all my use took a very long vacation, but finally SHE'S BAAACCCKKK....

I named this "Reclaiming the Muse". I'm not sure if she's back to stay or not--only time will tell..but while she's here I decided to "make hay while the sun shines" so to speak and I finally watched the videos from a classs I signed up for in March called "Creatures" taught by Roxanne Coble. A very fun class using lots of tiny patterns and details which was right up my alley. This is the journal spread I made.

May is always a busy month--my birthday is in May; Mother's Day is in May; and our anniversary is in May. This year was our 20th anniversary--

Then and now!!

And I leave you with this photo I found on Facebook--I don't know who took it
